About us

We are a safe haven, a refuge, a Home, for pregnant women and moms of babies in need. We are a support, a help for those who have a harder time in life, especially those whose lives have barely begun. We are a friend whose door is always open to those who need it.

The Mother’s Home began operating in May 2022 on the initiative of the main donor, Provident Poland, which initiated the project. Three days after the outbreak of war in Ukraine the company’s board of directors decided to create a Mother’s Home – a safe place for women from Ukraine. Company’s volunteers engaged in the “Yes! I help” program renovated the building at 25 Małego Rycerza St.
Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Home began its activities as a place of long-term accommodation for Ukrainian refugee women and their children, but ultimately will be a place of assistance for all women – Poles, refugees, migrants.

At the moment, the Mother’s Home operates as part of the Inna Przestrzeń Foundation, and its coordinator is Anna Kłos – a volunteer, compulsive helper and privately a mother of two toddlers. In our team we have two girls from Poland and 3 refugees from Ukraine. Together every day we try to make at least a piece of the world better.

Since May 2022, the number of relief activities carried out by the Mother’s Home team has increased significantly:

  • we provide all women in need with layettes for childbirth or for newborns,
  • we support mothers of newborns with material assistance,
  • we organize actions of giving gifts to children and their mothers,
  • we cooperate with more than a dozen locations in and around Warsaw in the rational distribution of relief items,
  • we are in constant contact with dozens of Social Welfare Centers within 100 kilometers of our location and dozens more in the poorest municipalities in Poland to be able to support all pregnant women and mothers of newborns in difficult situations.

In 2022…

  • We provided long-term shelter for 21 families,
  • We donated several hundred baby layettes,
  • We distributed 2304 cartons of modified milk to mothers who cannot breastfeed,
  • We supported 14 other help centers in and around Warsaw,
  • We distributed 7 tons of tangerines,
  • We issued 1,100 gift packages for the holidays.
  • On New Year’s Eve, we donated 2 tons of bread into the hands of the needy.

And we were able to do all this thanks to you – our partners and friends who support us every day – financially, in-kind, by volunteering, or simply with a kind word and belief in our mission. Thank you for being with us every day, we firmly believe that only all of us together can make the world a better place.
