SUPPORT FROM COMPANIES AND INSTITUTIONS

Why do we need help?

Although there are much fewer people in our house than in huge reception points, we welcome the most needy: pregnant women and babies. Their needs are much greater than those of older children or adults. However, many of our guests, apart from the baby, also have children of preschool and school age … Therefore, although we do not have thousands of people, we have representatives of every possible age group and we have to face many challenges.

Our House is financed by private funds from many organizations, foundations, such as Inna Przestrzeń, or companies such as Provident Polska. However, with the scale of humanitarian aid that we provide, with the exception of a few of the largest aid organizations, there is no one that would be able to meet all the needs of such a place. Both when it comes to the scope of material help, as well as completely life and psychological issues.

Every day we face the need to holistically care for our hospitality and their children. Of course, in the first place, we help them meet the most basic needs, such as food, medical care, and access to medicines. However, we also try not to forget that they are the same people as us and a month ago they led a normal life, had a job, hobbies, interests … Therefore, at the same time, while satisfying basic needs and psychological support, as far as our (not very large) possibilities are concerned, we try to remember to provide our guests with access to their culture as well as all the information they need.

Whom are we hosting?

The Mother’s Home is a place where all mothers in need can find a safe shelter, i.e. such an incubator-house, with particular emphasis on pregnant women and mothers of newborns. However, our main goal at the moment is to provide our guests with the best possible start to a new life in Poland. That is why a place in our house is reserved for single mothers, as well as multi-generational families, where all age categories from baby to grandmother can be found 😉

Every person, foundation or company that decides to help us is extremely important to us.

It is the involvement of private individuals and all companies or foundations that allows us to effectively act for our guests. The very awareness that in the constant fight for decent conditions and a good start in life in Poland, we are not alone and we are supported by so many people with great hearts, gives us the strength to get up in the morning and do what we do.

That is why, if you represent a company or foundation and want to help us – be sure to get in touch no matter what kind and how big the help would be. Our humanitarian aid manager – Anna Kłos, laughs that managing such an object is like solving a puzzle. Your company or foundation can become one piece of this puzzle.

Material help

The needs of our guests are very large, despite the fact that their number is not. However, there are very few items in the unit, which we need to have a large supply (these are, for example, water, juices, nappies, toilet paper …). Therefore, if your company wants to help our guests in providing them with the necessary articles, we will be very grateful if you contact us first so that we can let you know what is currently needed. Every help is very important to us, but we also want to make sure that all the funds you allocate to activities in our place are used as effectively as possible. 💙💛

Employee volunteering

We are always very pleased when individual donors, companies or foundations support the aid activities of our point by providing articles necessary to meet the needs of guests. However, apart from material things, we will gladly accept the help of everyone who would like to lend a hand to the functioning of the House. Many companies decide to give employees the opportunity to participate in voluntary work during working hours for a specified number of days a year. If your company offers such an option – we will welcome you and all your employees with open arms among our volunteers. However, before you decide to visit us, be sure to check out the website about volunteering, because working in such an intimate place is different from what you do in large reception points.

The person you can contact regarding institutional / company support or employee volunteering is the Humanitarian Aid Coordinator Anna Kłos (PL / ENG), who is available at +48 730 344 384.
