I want to help!

>> Make donation directly into our account!

We are here, at Małego Rycerza 25 Street, for pregnant women and mothers of newborns, that is, those women in whose hands lies the start of a new generation’s life. We do not accept that children will suffer because of the war and even less do we accept that the unborn ones will pay for it for the rest of their lives, because today their mothers will not be able to properly take care of their development – with nowhere to live, to eat or how to take care of their health during pregnancy, postpartum, or breastfeeding.

If you agree with us then we invite you to act together with us!

What can you do to help along with us?

We operate as a part of Other Space Foundation and our subaccount (in PLN) has a number: 25 2130 0004 2001 0374 4232 0014  (Volkswagen Bank Direct)

If you want to make a transfer to an account in a currency other than PLN you can do so to the foundation’s pooled accounts, but be sure to include “For the Mother’s Home” in the title of the transfer:

IBAN (USD): PL74105010121000009030826342
IBAN (EUR): PL21105010121000009030826326
(ING Bank)

Do you want to know the enormous importance of your money?

Every month we want to issue 200 food packages for pregnant women and mothers of newborns. One such package is about 65 PLN. Which means that your $15 will allow us to give one person food.

The cost of supplementation for a nursing mother for a month is 45zł or a little over $10. This can reduce the chances of disease and increase those for normal development.

Whether you are 100 or 1,000 kilometres from our physical location it doesn’t matter if you want to help us.

You can make a monetary donation to the accounts, or shop for our residents and for the food drives we run.

How can you do it?

  • oo to frisco.pl nd order food to our address (Małego Rycerza 25, 03-287 Warsaw, delivery any time). What do we need? You can find the current list here.
  • go to Allegro / Amazon or any other online store and order us hygiene items or items for pregnant parcels (they are also listed above) with delivery to our address: Dom Matki Małego Rycerza 25, 03-287 Warsaw or to parcel machine WAW304M number: +48730344384, email: info@dommatki.pl )
  • go to doz.pl or any other online pharmacy and order any quantity of supplements for pregnant women (regular and with DHA acids), lactation preparations (e.g. Femaltiker), vitamin D3 for babies from day 1 (400j.) and vitamin complexes for newborns, children and adults with delivery to our address: Dom Matki Małego Rycerza 25, 03-287 Warsaw or to parcel machine WAW304M number: +48730344384, e-mail: info@dommatki.pl )

If you would like to help in any of the ways mentioned above, please contact in advance our Humanitarian Aid Coordinator Anna Klos at +48 730 344 384 to coordinate your efforts so that they will be as effective as possible! 🙂

Our Home currently operates in three dimensions: as a place of accommodation, as a place of help for pregnant women and mothers of newborns who do not live with us, and a little as a hub that transfers help to other points in and around Warsaw 😉 Therefore, there are really few things that we or our partners won’t need 😉

Already have things collected for us or want to bring shopping? We invite you to Warsaw Białołęka, we are located at 25 Małego Rycerza Street, we are open for visitors every day from 6-22 🙂

However, what we need most is:

food – any food and in any quantity, both short-term and long-term,

Disposable items for childbirth (pads, liners),

Disposable baby items (pacifiers, bottles, hair care and nail clipping kits) and diapers in all sizes (0 to 6)

Dietary supplements for pregnant women and vitamin D3 for infants (400j)

– clothes in sizes no larger than 62 (especially sizes 44-50) and accessories

– Other baby items: blankets, towels, sleeping bags, sensory toys for babies.

You can find an up-to-date list of the most needed products and items here.

At different times, depending on the needs of our beneficiaries, we also conduct collections of various items, e.g. teddy bears, books, nets, vitamins. You can find information about this on our website or Facebook.

f you want to bring us gifts, please remember to: – textile and bedding items are clean and washed, – the food products had a long shelf life, – the clothes you hand over were in good condition (the same as you would like to wear) and adapted to the current season of the year (unfortunately we do not have such storage capacity to store things that we cannot use right away), – the equipment that you want to hand over to the guest service (e.g. kettles, thermometers) were rather reliable – such things are used in our company much more frequently than in households, so less durable things can quickly break down, so if you have the opportunity, we will be grateful for fewer, but more reliable ones. In the case of clothes brought to us, we give our guests the opportunity to freely choose what they need, and then we transfer unnecessary things to the next point or foundation so that nothing you decide to bring to us is wasted.

It’s easier to help when the people we want to provide assistance to know of our existence, and this in turn is most easily achieved when as many people as possible know of our activities. After all, we are barely a few handshakes away from everyone, so if you personally don’t know anyone who needs our help, at least a few of your friends certainly do.

Besides – the more people watch our activities the more attractive it is to our sponsors 😉

What can you do? Become our social ambassador

All you have to do is like us on Facebook, Instagram, or Linkedin. You can comment and share our posts in groups.

You can tell your friends about our activities and persuade them to become our fans or donors.

ou can tell about our activities at your work, at your child’s school, kindergarten, nursery. Maybe one of your friends or their friends works at a company that would like to join the ranks of our donors? Maybe one of your friends works at a local magazine or radio station and would like to spread the word about us? Or maybe you can spread the word to your customers or co-workers about our activities and an invitation to get to know us or donate 1.5% of your tax to our moms?

The possibilities are endless, but you only need to tell one person about us – every new friend or friend of the Mother Home is a success for us! ❤️

Our Home is an cameral place, but the circulation level of donations that come to us and go further we have at least at the level of the Gdansk Docks 😉 Therefore, there is always work in sorting, dividing and arranging donations. Very often we need help in collecting donations from donors or driving our residents to a doctor’s or office appointment.

In addition, in the Home, as in any house, faults happen – maybe it’s a broken tap or a broken hinge pr maybe it’s necessary to rearrange a very, very heavy closet 🙂 Every pair of hands will come in handy for this!

Periodically we also carry out assistance to pregnant women and mothers of newborns who do not live in the Mother’s Home. Before each such event, we have to prepare a space for the distribution of donations and packages, this is a job for several hours, depending on how large an action we plan and how many hands we have to help 🙂

Because of living in harmony and love with our neighbors, we also happen to need to drop information in their mailboxes about our planned activities or opportunities for help. For this we badly need help, as the Home mostly has one worker at a time.

How to become our volunteer?

Write an email: info@dommatki.pl or call  +48 796 401 236  and tell me when you want to come help. ❤️ If you want to help with transportation issues, be sure to write about it and leave your phone number. You can also join this group on whatsapp and check if there’s a need to take something somewhere 🙂

Do I need to know Ukrainian?

Absolutely not! The vast majority of jobs in which we need help do not require knowledge of any language, including Polish 😉 as long as we can get along 🙂

For how many hours do you have to come?

For as much as you want 🙂 You can drop in to screw on a tap in a quarter of an hour, or help pack packages for 8h. Every moment of your time is very valuable to us and will be put to good use! 🙂

Do you have to come regularly?

Absolutely not! You can come every week, every other day, or just come once. Any help is valuable for us and there is always something to do.

What can you count on as our volunteer/volunteer?

Gratitude and love from our side and of course the self-satisfaction of adding your hand to making the world a better place 🙂

And also a volunteer contract, therefore sudden accidents insurance, drink and a recovery meal to the best of our modest ability (sometimes it will be a candy bar, and sometimes, as our moms see us working hard, a home-cooked dinner 🙂 ).

We are open to cooperation and partnership with any business. The possibilities for interaction are endless, for example:

– companies can make a monetary donation to us for specific purposes, for statutory purposes, or for our Social Security fund, which supports our female employees in refugee crisis or in very difficult life situations,

– we will gladly accept in-kind donations, whether purchased for the benefit of our beneficiaries or items produced by a particular company (from food, OTC medicaments and supplements, through cleaning products, cosmetics, clothing, both for children and adults, to home furnishings or kitchen items)

– if ordering fruit or catering, we will gladly accept surplus,

– we also welcome employee volunteers to personally support our female guests or beneficiaries of outside help

– We are also very happy to provide our informational leaflets about the activities of the Home and the opportunities to support us by forwarding them to your customers and employees.

Our permanent supporters include: Provident Polska, Putka Bakery and Confectionery, Action, Microlife, Msd, Astara, Polski Holding Nieruchomości.

In 2022, about 14,000 Ukrainian babies were born in Poland, every month we spend about 100 layettes for pregnant women and mothers of babies, and we know from them that they have problems even with enough food. This means several thousand mothers who should be eating for two, and are unable to meet even their basic needs. These children will be weak, sickly. Today’s war is destroying not only the living generations of Ukrainians, but also the next one to be born….

If you can help us reach the media with our activities, we would be very happy to tell you about what we do, how we help, but also about the current situation.

In this regard, please contact our Humanitarian Aid Coordinator: Anna Kłos – +48 730 344 384.
